The Standard Model extended with a complex singlet scalar (cxSM) can admit a strong first order electroweak phase transition (SFOEWPT) as needed for electroweak baryogenesis and provide a dark matter (DM) candidate. The presence of both a DM candidate and a singlet-like scalar that mixes with the Standard Model Higgs boson leads to the possibility of a $b\bar{b}+\text{MET}$ final state in $pp$ collisions. Focusing on this channel, we analyze the prospective reach at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) for a heavy singlet-like scalar in regions of cxSM parameter space compatible with a SFOEWT and DM phenomenology. We identify this parameter space while implementing current constraints from electroweak precision observable and Higgs boson property measurements as well as those implied by LHC heavy resonance searches.

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Non-Gaussian primordial fluctuations of a Z2-symmetric spectator scalar trigger a strong first-order electroweak phase transition, with the field serving as cold dark matter and generating a stochastic gravitational w...

  2. Electroweak phase transitions in a $U(1)_D$ extension of the standard model with dimension-six operators: Gravitational waves and LHC signatures

    hep-ph 2026-03 unverdicted novelty 5.0

A dimension-six operator |H|^2|phi|^4 in a U(1)_D singlet extension relaxes the usual Higgs-portal and mixing-angle correlation, enabling strong first-order electroweak phase transitions driven primarily by the singlet VEV.

  3. Linking the Gauge Hierarchy with Neutrino Masses and Dark Matter via Two-step Cosmological Selection

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0

A multiverse cosmological selection mechanism in an SM extension with scalar singlet and RH neutrinos under B-L dynamically fixes the EW scale while addressing neutrino masses, leptogenesis, and dark matter.

  4. Gravitational waves from CP domain wall collapse and electron EDM in a complex singlet model with dimension-five Yukawa interactions

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0

In a complex singlet model with dimension-five Yukawa couplings, current electron EDM bounds already restrict part of the parameter space where gravitational waves from CP domain wall collapse would be detectable.
