abstract
We investigate the existence of minisuperspace description for the homogeneous cosmological field equations within the framework of symmetric teleparallel $f(Q)$-gravity. We consider the background space to be described by the isotropic Friedmann--Lema\^{\i}tre--Robertson--Walker geometry, the anisotropic Kantowski-Sachs and the anisotropic Bianchi III geometries. Across all these models, we establish that the field equations in $f(Q)$-cosmology exhibit second-order characteristics in the coincident gauge and those of a sixth-order theory in the non-coincident gauge. Specifically, within the latter scenario, the dynamic degrees of freedom are attributed to two scalar fields. Finally, as an example of integrability, we derive a vacuum cosmological solution within the non-coincident gauge.

Degrees of freedom of a quadratic scalar-nonmetricity theory
In quadratic scalar-nonmetricity gravity, Hamiltonian analysis shows 10, 8, and 8 degrees of freedom for cases II, V, and VI, while linear cosmological perturbation theory sees only 10, 6, and 5, indicating hidden str...

ACT-DR6 consistent inflation in generalised entropic cosmology and $f(Q)$ gravity
Reconstruction produces explicit f(Q) and generalised-entropic inflation models (and scalar-coupled versions) whose slow-roll parameters match ACT-DR6 + Planck-BAO constraints on n_s and r.

Decoupling perturbations from background in $f(Q)$ gravity: the square-root correction and the impact on the $\sigma_8$ tension
A sqrt(Q) correction in f(Q) gravity suppresses structure growth without altering the expansion history; fitted to RSD/DESI data it can bring sigma8 into agreement with Planck, at the cost of a sigma8-M degeneracy.

Maxwell-$f(Q)$ theory
A proposed new charged AdS black hole in f(Q) gravity, but the claimed absence of an uncharged limit and the charge-induced cosmological constant conflict with the paper's own formulas.
