Recent studies suggest that global fits of Parton Distribution Functions (PDFs) might inadvertently 'fit away' signs of new physics in the high-energy tails of the distributions measured at the high luminosity programme of the LHC (HL-LHC). This could lead to spurious effects that might conceal key BSM signatures and hinder the success of indirect searches for new physics. In this letter, we demonstrate that future deep-inelastic scattering (DIS) measurements at the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), and at CERN via FASER$\nu$ and SND@LHC at LHC Run III, and the future neutrino experiments to be hosted at the proposed Forward Physics Facility (FPF) at the HL-LHC, provide complementary constraints on large-$x$ sea quarks. These constraints are crucial to mitigate the risk of missing key BSM signals, by enabling precise constraints on large-$x$ PDFs through a 'BSM-safe' integration of both high- and low-energy data, which is essential for a robust interpretation of the high-energy measurements.

  1. PDF effects in high-mass Drell-Yan SMEFT analyses across flavour space

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.5

PDF profiling broadens high-mass Drell-Yan SMEFT limits most for first-generation quark operators and far less for heavier flavours, both with current CMS data and at the HL-LHC.

  2. Renormalization of the SMEFT to Dimension Eight: Fermionic Interactions II

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Computes one-loop mixing of bosonic and two-fermion interactions into two-fermion operators in dim-8 SMEFT, leaving only four-fermion to two-fermion mixing to finish the renormalization program.

  3. Letter of Intent: The Forward Physics Facility

    hep-ex 2025-10 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Proposes construction of the Forward Physics Facility at the HL-LHC with four complementary detectors to exploit forward neutrinos and new-particle fluxes for neutrino, QCD, astroparticle, and dark-matter measurements.

  4. CJ26 Global QCD Analysis with Large-$x$ Jefferson Lab 6 and 12 GeV Data

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0

CJ26 global NLO QCD fit incorporates JLab 6 and 12 GeV DIS data to reduce uncertainties on large-x n/p and d/u ratios by 30-50% and 5-10%.
