In this text different theoretical approaches towards multi-quark states are introduced, namely hadrocharmonia, compact tetraquarks and hadronic molecules. The predictions derived from either of them are contrasted with current and possible future observations. The focus is on doubly heavy systems, but singly heavy and light systems are mentioned briefly as well.

  1. Compositeness of near-threshold eigenstates with Coulomb plus short-range interactions

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 7.0

The compositeness of near-threshold eigenstates with Coulomb plus short-range forces is determined solely by the Coulomb scattering length, effective range, and Bohr radius, with the Coulomb interaction qualitatively ...

  2. Effective Range Expansion with the Left-Hand Cut: Higher Order Improvements

    hep-ph 2026-01 conditional novelty 6.0

Extended the generalized effective-range expansion, including the left-hand cut from one-particle exchange, to O(k^6) with a new relativistic version, validated against exact Yukawa-potential solutions of the Lippmann...

  3. Diffusion Monte Carlo study of deuteron-like fully light hexaquarks

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0

Within the AL1 constituent-quark model, compact uuuddd hexaquarks lie well above baryon–baryon thresholds while dibaryon-like states are near-threshold molecular candidates, one deuteron-like but unbound by ~12 MeV.

  4. Isospin-breaking effects on the threshold cusp structures in $\Lambda N$-$\Sigma N$ scattering

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Isospin breaking splits threshold cusps in ΛN-ΣN scattering into constrained structures whose relative sharpness or type can change, as shown via K-matrix classification and N²LO chiral EFT calculations.

  5. Study of the molecular Properties of the $P_c$ and $P_{cs}$ States

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Coupled-channel calculations show Pc and Pcs states as molecular bound states with RMS radii 0.5-2 fm when heavy-quark spin symmetry is respected across all channels.

  6. Hidden-charm $uds\,c\bar c$ pentaquarks as flavor eigenstates in a constituent quark model

    hep-ph 2026-02 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Imposing the SU(3) flavor eigenstate condition on udsc c-bar pentaquarks in a constituent quark model yields two structures matching the masses of P_cs(4338) and P_cs(4459) plus two additional predicted states below t...
