We study the Euclidean path integral of two-dimensional quantum gravity with positive cosmological constant coupled to conformal matter with large and positive central charge. The problem is considered in a semiclassical expansion about a round two-sphere saddle. We work in the Weyl gauge whereby the computation reduces to that for a (timelike) Liouville theory. We present results up to two-loops, including a discussion of contributions stemming from the gauge fixing procedure. We exhibit cancelations of ultraviolet divergences and provide a path integral computation of the central charge for timelike Liouville theory. Combining our analysis with insights from the DOZZ formula we are led to a proposal for an all orders result for the two-dimensional gravitational partition function on the two-sphere.

  1. On the Virasoro Crossing Kernels at Rational Central Charge

    hep-th 2025-12 conditional novelty 8.0 of 10

At rational central charge, the Virasoro crossing kernels decompose into two admissible square-root-branched kernels; the physical c≤1 kernels are derived for the first time.

  2. Toward the Structure Constants of $\mathcal{N}=2$ Liouville Theory

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

N=2 Liouville structure constants are proposed via mirror symmetry to the SL(2)_k/U(1) supercoset, with angular-momentum-violating sectors given explicitly and tested semiclassically to leading loop order.

  3. de Sitter Vacua & pUniverses

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

The p-Schwinger model on de Sitter space supports p distinct de Sitter-invariant vacua that are Hadamard, and coupling a multi-flavor version to gravity yields a semiclassical de Sitter saddle at large N_f.

  4. A microscopic realization of dS$_3$

    hep-th 2025-01 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Pure dS3 quantum gravity is claimed to be dual to the complex Liouville string's matrix integral, with integrated cosmological correlators equal to resolvent correlators and de Sitter entropy equal to 2 log of the eig...

  5. Holographic entanglement entropy with conformal boundary conditions

    hep-th 2026-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In AdS3 with conformal boundary conditions, holographic entanglement entropy is still the minimal-surface area over 4G_N, and the dual Liouville plus T Tbar theory gives entropy governed by the effective central charge c_eff.

  6. Revealing the conformal symmetry of the discrete series scalars in dS${}_2$

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Massive discrete-series scalars in dS2 admit an on-shell global conformal symmetry realized non-locally on the scalar and locally on a conformal Killing tensor, with a traceless stress tensor generating SL(2,R)×SL(2,R).

  7. Aspects of Closed Matricial Worlds

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Higher-genus corrections to the 2D de Sitter disk path integral follow a universal structure that at large boundary length mimics topological gravity, with new explicit expressions through genus six.

  8. Quantum Liouville Cosmology

    hep-th 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Timelike Liouville disk path integrals in fixed K-representation produce Hartle-Hawking-like states, a conjecture for all-loop wavefunctions, and a K-independent inner product for 2D quantum cosmology.

  9. The On-shell Gravity Action and Linear Dilaton Holography

    hep-th 2025-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The Euclidean on-shell action for linear-dilaton three-dimensional string backgrounds yields a spacetime mass whose square-root form matches the TT-deformed CFT energy formula.

    hep-th 2024-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Scalar and vector Feynman integrals on the sphere are mapped to A-hypergeometric (GKZ) systems via embedding space propagators, enabling algorithmic higher-loop computations.
