abstract

This work presents the first detailed numerical predictions of CP violation in antitriplet charmed baryon decays. Adopting the flavor $SU(3)_F$ symmetry and the final state re-scattering framework, we relate the CKM-suppressed amplitudes to the leading ones, which are proportional to $\lambda_b$ and $\lambda_d$, respectively, with $\lambda_q = V_{uq}V^*_{cq}$. Larger-than-expected CP violations are found, reaching the order of $10^{-3}$, similar in magnitude to those in $D^0 \to \pi^+\pi^- ,K^+K^-$. This opens a promising avenue for observing CP violation in charmed baryon decays and testing the Standard Model.

  1. From topological amplitudes to rescattering dynamics in charmed baryon decays

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The authors build a bridge between topological and rescattering amplitudes for charmed baryon decays and claim the Koerner-Pati-Woo theorem fails, suggesting a measurement of Lambda_c^+ -> Sigma^+ K_S^0.

  2. CP Violation in Hadronic Weak Decays of Charmed Baryons in the Topological Diagrammatic Approach

    hep-ph 2025-05 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Per-mille-level CP asymmetries are predicted for Λc+→pπ0, Λc+→pη′, Ξc0→Σ0η and Ξc+→Σ+η from long-distance penguin rescattering in the topological diagram approach.

  3. Implications on CP violation of charmless three body decays of bottom baryon from the U-spin analysis

    hep-ph 2024-11 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

U-spin symmetry converts recent LHCb CP-violation measurements in Lambda_b charmless three-body decays into CP-asymmetry predictions for Xi_b^0 and Sigma^0 channels, plus a null test for the Standard Model.

  4. CP violation studies at Super Tau-Charm Facility

    hep-ex 2025-02 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

A future Super Tau-Charm Facility is projected to test CP violation in hyperon, tau, and charm decays at 1e-4 to 1e-3 sensitivities and improve the kaon CPT mass-difference limit tenfold.

  5. Remarks on strong phase shifts in weak nonleptonic baryon decays

    hep-ph 2024-12 conditional novelty 3.0 of 10

The paper proposes a sign-parameterized formula that unifies the three common conventions for strong phase shifts in nonleptonic baryon decays and recomputes published phase shifts consistently.

  6. Unquenched Charmonium and Beyond

    hep-ph 2026-02 conditional novelty 2.0 of 10

This Lanzhou-group review argues that coupled-channel (unquenched) effects, not exotic constituents, are the common thread explaining charmonium anomalies from the rho-pi puzzle to the Y-problem states.

  7. New horizon in particle physics: first observation of CP violation in baryon decays

    hep-ph 2025-04 unverdicted novelty 1.0 of 10

A commentary noting that LHCb's 6-sigma baryon CP violation measurement in Lambda_b to pK-pi+pi- matches a 5.6-5.9% prediction from N-pi rescattering, but contributing no new analysis.
