We study 't Hooft's equation for bound states in 2d multicolor QCD. We consider the case of quarks with equal masses. We derive asymptotic expansions for the spectrum of mesons in different regimes and study their properties.

Meson mass spectrum in Ising Field Theory
The authors derive exact spectral sums and WKB expansions for Bethe-Salpeter meson masses in Ising field theory and predict meson mass degeneracies at complex critical points.

QCD$_2$ 't Hooft model: 2-flavour mesons spectrum
For the 't Hooft model with two unequal-mass quarks, the authors derive conjecturally exact spectral sums and a systematic large-n WKB expansion of the meson spectrum, verified numerically.
