We explore corrections to electroweak parameters in the context of Extended Technicolor (ETC) models in which the ETC gauge-boson which generates the top-quark mass carries weak $SU(2)$ charge. For $m_t \sim 150$ GeV there exist potentially large corrections to the $Z$ decay width to $b$-quarks. Interestingly, in contrast to the situation in ETC models where the gauge-boson which generates the top-quark mass is a weak $SU(2)$ singlet, the corrections may {\it increase} the $Z \to b \bar{b}$ branching ratio.

  1. Search for a new neutral gauge boson produced in association with one or two b jets and decaying into a pair of muons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV

    hep-ex 2025-11 accept novelty 4.0

No Z' boson decaying to muon pairs and produced with b jets appears in 138 fb⁻¹ of CMS data, yielding first 95% CL limits of 0.2–2 fb on σ×B×A×ε across 125–350 GeV.

  2. Measurement of high-mass $t\bar{t}\ell^{+}\ell^{-}$ production and lepton flavour universality-inspired effective field theory interpretations at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector

    hep-ex 2025-04 unverdicted novelty 4.0

ATLAS reports a measurement of high-mass ttbar ll production with no observed deviation from the Standard Model and derives EFT constraints on four-fermion operators from 140 fb^{-1} of Run 2 data.
