  1. Pure connection formalism and Plebanski's second heavenly equation

    hep-th 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A pure-connection derivation yields Plebanski's second heavenly equation on flat and constant-curvature backgrounds, packaged in a compact covariant form with a new interpretation of the self-dual Yang-Mills kinematic...

  2. Canonical analysis of unimodular Pleba\'nski gravity

    gr-qc 2024-11 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

A canonical analysis of unimodular Plebański gravity shows that the Hamiltonian density is constrained only to be constant, promoting the cosmological constant to an integration constant.

  3. Emergent metric and geodesic analysis in cosmological solutions of (torsion-free) Polynomial Affine Gravity

    gr-qc 2019-08 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

In torsion-free polynomial affine gravity, the Ricci tensor can serve as an emergent metric, and self-parallel curves can reproduce the spatial geodesics of Friedmann-Robertson-Walker cosmology.

  4. A polynomial affine model of gravity: after ten years

    gr-qc 2024-12 conditional novelty 3.0 of 10

A ten-year review of polynomial affine gravity, covering the most general diffeomorphism-invariant action, its field equations, cosmological solutions, and emergent metrics.
