Assuming an effective gravitational action with scale dependent coupling constants, a consistency condition for the local form of the cut-off scale is derived. The approach is applied to homogeneous cosmology and running couplings with an ultraviolet fixed point. Within the given approach this allows to derive bounds on the value of the fixed point.

  1. Effective geometrodynamics for renormalization-group improved black-hole spacetimes in spherical symmetry

    gr-qc 2026-01 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

RG-improved black hole spacetimes with scale-dependent gravitational coupling are derived as vacuum solutions to 2D Horndeski master field equations, embedding prior works and exposing implementation discrepancies.

  2. Cosmological framework for renormalization group extended gravity at the action level

    gr-qc 2019-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Renormalization group corrections to gravity are applied at the action level to cosmology, yielding a constant gravitational slip and a low-redshift f sigma8 modification that may ease the sigma8 tension.
