We develop a discrete lattice implementation of the hard thermal loop effective action by the method of added auxiliary fields. We use the resulting model to measure the sphaleron rate (topological susceptibility) of Yang-Mills theory at weak coupling. Our results give parametric behavior in accord with the arguments of Arnold, Son, and Yaffe, and are in quantitative agreement with the results of Moore, Hu, and Muller.

An Effective Sphaleron Awakens
A consistent 3D EFT computation of the Higgs phase sphaleron rate yields universal baryon preservation bounds x ≈ 0.025 (strong) and x ≈ 0.036 (weak), and shows two-loop corrections eliminate strong one-step transitio...

DMRadio-Core: A new approach for GUT-scale axion searches
Electroweak-symmetric domain walls produce the observed baryon asymmetry when CP-odd sources and the hierarchy of wall, source, and diffusion lengths suppress face-to-face cancellation.

First-order CP phase transition in two-flavor QCD at $\theta = \pi$ under electromagnetic scale anomaly via a Nambu-Jona-Lasinio description
In an NJL model, the electromagnetic scale anomaly creates a thermal potential barrier proportional to |eB|^3 |P|/(P^2 + m0^2), making the theta = pi CP transition first order.
