The production and the observability of $\Lambda(1520)$, $K^0(892)$ $\Phi$ and $\Delta(1232)$ hadron resonances in central Pb+Pb collisions at 160 AGeV is addressed. The rescattering probabilities of the resonance decay products in the systems evolution are studied. Strong changes in the reconstructable particle yields and spectra between chemical and thermal freeze-out are estimated. Abundances and spectra of reconstructable resonances are predicted.

  1. Observation of the centrality-dependent difference in directed flow between charged kaons and $K^{*0}$ resonances in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}$ = 14.6, 19.6 and 27 GeV

First measurement of K*0 directed flow shows a centrality-dependent difference from charged kaons that hydro+UrQMD models attribute to asymmetric hadronic rescattering relative to the event plane.

  2. Probing Late-Stage Hadronic Interactions at High Baryon Density via $K^{*0}$ Production in the RHIC Beam Energy Scan Program

    nucl-ex 2026-01 accept novelty 7.0

K*0/K yield ratios in central Au+Au collisions at BES energies are suppressed relative to peripheral collisions and thermal predictions, indicating hadronic rescattering that strengthens at lower energies.
