We investigate the critical properties of the Lee-Yang model in less than six spacetime dimensions using truncations of the functional renormalization group flow. We give estimates for the critical exponents, study the dependence on the regularization scheme, and show the convergence of our results for increasing size of the truncations in four and five dimensions. While with our truncations it is numerically challenging to approach the three-dimensional case, we provide a simple approximation which allows us to qualitatively study the Lee-Yang model in two and three dimensions, and use it to argue the existence of further nonunitary multicritical theories including one which is relevant for the universality class of the Blume-Capel model.

  1. Quantum models with the Yang-Lee phase transition

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Four PT-symmetric 1+1D quantum models are mapped to the Yang-Lee critical point via state-operator correspondence and bosonization, with scaling dimensions matching exact 2D results and a numerically confirmed growing...

    hep-th 2026-01 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In the local potential approximation, the Lee-Yang fixed point of iφ^3 theory is followed to d=2 with few-percent-accurate scaling dimensions, while multicritical iφ^{2n+1} fixed points annihilate with new non-perturb...

  3. Testing the RG-flow $M(3,10)+\phi_{1,7}\to M(3,8)$ with Hamiltonian Truncation

    hep-th 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Hamiltonian truncation with counterterms through third order supports the conjectured RG flow M(3,10)+φ_{1,7}→M(3,8), though the evidence is fit-based and not fully converged.
