abstract
The Hubble constant tension problem is analysed in the framework of a class of modified gravity, the so-called $F(R)$ gravity. To do so, we explore two models: an exponential and a power-law $F(R)$ gravities, which includes an early dark energy (EDE) term in the latter. These models can describe both an early time inflationary epoch and the late time accelerating expansion of the universe. We confront both models with recent observational data including the Pantheon Type Ia supernovae sample, the latest measurements of the Hubble parameter $H(z)$ from differential ages of galaxies (cosmic chronometers) and separately from baryon acoustic oscillations. Standard rulers data set from the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation are also included in our analysis. The estimations of the Hubble constant appear to be essentially depending on the set of observational data and vary in the range from 68 to 70{.}3 km\,/(s$\cdot$Mpc). The fits of the other free parameters of the models are also obtained, revealing interesting consequences.

Early- and late-time constraints on Wald-Gauss-Bonnet topological dark energy and implications for the $H_0$ and $S_8$ tensions
A joint CMB, BAO, and supernova fit mildly prefers a non-zero Wald-Gauss-Bonnet dark-energy term (~3σ with SH0ES included), raising H0 from 68.5 to 69.8 km/s/Mpc and easing the Hubble tension by ~0.9σ at the cost of a...

Hubble tension in k-essence: Evidence for robust tension alleviation
Dilaton and tachyon k-essence models robustly reduce Planck–late-Universe H0 tension to 0.14σ and 0.69σ without dataset-dependent fine-tuning of model parameters.

Exponential $f(R)$ cosmology with massive neutrinos as a dynamical dark energy framework
Exponential f(R) gravity with massive neutrinos fits current expansion data about as well as ΛCDM and yields slightly different H0 and Σmν constraints, but does not eliminate the Hubble tension.

Hubble tension: a short review of theoretical explanations
A comprehensive review finds no theoretical Hubble-tension solution yet passes all consistency tests; new early-dark-energy chains reach high H0 only when the SH0ES calibration is added.

Dark energy era with a resolution of Hubble tension in generalized entropic cosmology
A generalized-entropy dark energy model with one fitted extra parameter returns H0 near 73 km/s/Mpc on some datasets, but the reported model-comparison statistics do not favor it over LambdaCDM.
