We write down a maximally supersymmetric one parameter deformation of the field theory action of Bagger and Lambert. We show that this theory on RxT^2 is invariant under the superalgebra of the maximally supersymmetric Type IIB plane wave. It is argued that this theory holographically describes the Type IIB plane wave in the discrete light-cone quantization (DLCQ).

  1. On three-dimensional ${\cal N}=4$ supersymmetry: maximally supersymmetric backgrounds and massive deformations

    hep-th 2025-04 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The paper classifies maximally supersymmetric 3D N=4 backgrounds and constructs massive deformations of N=4 theories on deformed Minkowski superspace, including a one-loop derivation of Chern-Simons terms.

  2. A Matrix Theory Construction of the IIA/IIB Wall

    hep-th 2026-03 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A lightlike IIA/IIB domain wall is constructed at zero string coupling by gauging (−1)^{F_L} in matrix string theory, turning BPS IIA D0-branes into non-BPS IIB D0-branes.
