The main arguments in the discussion of the proper treatment of the total inclusive cross section for bottom-quark associated Higgs-boson production are briefly reviewed. A simple and pragmatic formula for the combination of the so-called four- and five-flavour schemes is suggested, including the treatment of the respective theory error estimates. The numerical effects of this matching formula are discussed.

  1. Top-Yukawa contributions to $pp\to b\bar{b}H$: two-loop leading-colour amplitudes

    hep-ph 2026-03 accept novelty 7.0 of 10

First analytic two-loop leading-colour amplitudes for top-Yukawa-induced b bbar H production in the heavy-top limit, with Mathematica and C++ code.

  2. Higgs boson production in association with massive bottom quarks at NNLO+PS

    hep-ph 2024-12 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

First NNLO+PS event generator for b-bbar-H production with massive bottom quarks in the four-flavour scheme, showing NNLO corrections resolve the 4FS/5FS tension.

  3. Search for a charged Higgs boson decaying into top and bottom quarks in events with electrons or muons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV

    hep-ex 2019-08 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

No charged Higgs boson signal was found in the top-bottom decay channel at 13 TeV; CMS sets 95% CL upper limits of 9.6 to 0.01 pb for masses from 200 GeV to 3 TeV.

  4. Probing the Higgs-top Yukawa interaction in the $t\bar{t}H$ and $tH$ processes using $H\rightarrow\gamma\gamma$ with the ATLAS detector

    hep-ex 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

ATLAS measures ttH cross section times BR(H→γγ) at 1.13 SM with 164 fb⁻¹ at 13.6 TeV, sets tH limit at 6.2 SM, and combined with prior data excludes |α|>38° and purely CP-odd coupling at 5.8σ.

  5. Search for bosons of an extended Higgs sector in b quark final states in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV

    hep-ex 2025-02 accept novelty 5.0 of 10

A CMS search for additional Higgs bosons decaying to bottom quarks finds no signal and sets the most stringent limits to date in the high-mass regime.

  6. Search for Dark Matter in 2HDMS at LHC and future Lepton Colliders

    hep-ph 2025-04 unverdicted novelty 3.0 of 10

Benchmarks in the 2HDMS model with light to heavy dark matter masses are identified under all constraints and shown to have better discovery prospects at future lepton colliders than at the HL-LHC via cut-and-count analyses.
