We make use of recently released parton density functions (PDFs) with threshold-resummation improvement to consistently calculate theoretical predictions for neutralino and chargino pair production at next-to-leading order and next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. The updated cross sections have been computed for experimentally relevant higgsino and gaugino search channels at the ongoing Run II of the LHC. A factorisation method is applied to exploit the smaller PDF uncertainty of the global PDF sets and to avoid complications arising in the refitting of threshold-resummation improved PDF replicas in Mellin space. The reduction of the scale uncertainty due to the resummation is, however, explicitly taken into account. As expected, the resummation contributions in the PDF fits partially compensate the cross section enhancements induced by those in the partonic matrix elements.

  1. Search for long-lived charginos and $\tau$-sleptons using final states with a disappearing track in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector

    hep-ex 2026-03 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

No excess found in 137 fb^-1 of 13 TeV pp data; new 95% CL exclusions reach chargino masses up to 880 GeV and tau-sleptons up to 320 GeV at ~1 ns lifetimes.

  2. Search for higgsinos in compressed mass spectra using low-momentum tracks in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector

    hep-ex 2025-11 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

No excess over the Standard Model is observed; ATLAS excludes chargino masses below 126 GeV at 95% CL for mass splittings of 0.3–2 GeV in a simplified higgsino model.

  3. Shedding Light on Dark Matter at the LHC with Machine Learning

    hep-ph 2025-09 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A machine-learned LHC analysis projects 5-sigma sensitivity to singlino-dominated NMSSM dark matter via radiative higgsino decays to photons, covering higgsino masses up to 225 GeV.

  4. Search for electroweak production of charginos and sleptons decaying into final states with two leptons and missing transverse momentum in $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV $pp$ collisions using the ATLAS detector

    hep-ex 2019-08 accept novelty 4.0 of 10

Using 139 fb^-1 of 13 TeV pp data, ATLAS finds no sign of charginos or sleptons and excludes chargino masses up to 420 GeV (W-mediated) and slepton masses up to 700 GeV for a massless LSP.

  5. Search for signatures of electroweakinos with photons, jets, and large missing transverse momentum in $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

    hep-ex 2025-11 accept novelty 3.0 of 10

No significant excess observed; gauginos excluded up to 1.2 TeV in specific supersymmetric decay scenarios.
