abstract

We have performed a systematical calculation of the pion ($\pi, K, \eta$) and heavy pseudoscalar meson S-wave scattering lengths up to ${\cal O}(p^3)$ in the chiral perturbation theory in the heavy quark symmetry limit. With the three scattering lengths from the lattice simulations as input we estimate the unknown low-energy constants. Then we predict all the other unmeasured scattering lengths. The analytical expressions and predictions may be helpful to future investigations. Especially we note that the DK scattering length is positive. Therefore their interaction is attractive, which helps to lower the mass of the "bare" charm-strange scalar state in the quark model through the couple-channel effect.

    hep-ph 2026-07 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Relativistic U(3) chiral EFT at NLO yields scattering lengths that match lattice data and identifies D_s1(2460) as an SU(3) triplet bound-state pole and D1(2430) as a triplet-sextet pole pair, none of which are conven...

  2. Strong decays of the possible $D^{*}K$ and $\bar{D}^{*}K$ molecules

    hep-ph 2026-08 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

An effective-Lagrangian calculation predicts the I=1 D*K molecule T^a_cs1(2470) has a D_s*pi0 width of 13 to 196 MeV, about 10^3 times the predicted D_s1(2460) molecular width.
