We present a simple formula for the radiated angular momentum based on a spin-weighted spherical harmonic decomposition of the Weyl scalar psi_4 representing outgoing radiation in the Kinnersley tetrad. We test our formula by measuring the radiated angular momentum from three simulations of non-spinning equal-mass black-hole binary with orbital angular momentum aligned along the x, y, and z axes respectively. We find that the radiated angular momentum agrees with the differences in the remnant horizon spins and the initial angular momentum for each system.

Kicking gravitational wave detectors with recoiling black holes
Equal-mass black holes spinning at 97% of the maximum, in the hangup-kick configuration, recoil up to about 4,700 km/s, and the corresponding waveforms are distinguishable with LIGO at signal-to-noise ratios near 30.

Parameter Estimation with Targeted Eccentric Numerical-Relativity Simulations for GW200208_22 and GW190620
Bayesian parameter estimation with targeted eccentric numerical-relativity waveforms yields eccentricity estimates of e20 ≈ 0.2 for GW200208_22 and e10 ≈ 0.19 for GW190620, reinforcing the eccentric hypothesis.
