Global interpretations of particle physics data within the framework of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT), including their matching to UV-complete models, involve energy scales potentially spanning several orders of magnitude. Relating these measurements among them in terms of a common energy scale is enabled by the Renormalisation Group Equations (RGEs). Here we present a systematic assessment of the impact of RGEs, accounting for QCD, electroweak, and Yukawa corrections, in a global SMEFT fit of LEP and LHC data where individual cross-sections are assigned a characteristic energy scale. We also quantify the impact of the RGE effects in projected global fits at the HL-LHC and the FCC-ee. Finally, we assess the role that RGEs play on the sensitivity at HL-LHC and FCC-ee to representative one-particle UV models matched onto SMEFT either at tree and one-loop level. Our study emphasizes the importance of a consistent treatment of energy scales to achieve the best precision and accuracy in indirect searches for heavy new physics through precision measurements.

  1. The fermion sector of the SMEFT from asymptotically safe gravity

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

In a toy model of one quark generation, asymptotically safe gravity predicts four-fermion SMEFT coefficients are either Planck-scale suppressed or zero, with exceptions only at very large gravitational coupling.

  2. The Dark Side of a Tera-Z Factory

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Future Tera-Z runs at FCC-ee/CEPC could indirectly probe TeV-scale t-channel dark matter portals through one-loop and two-loop electroweak precision shifts, and in leptophilic models would be the only planned experime...

  3. Descoped and Upscoped FCC-ee Running Scenarios in the SMEFT

    hep-ph 2026-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A descoped FCC-ee retains most of its SMEFT reach if a reduced-luminosity top-quark run is kept, while upscoped luminosity increases barely improve the global fit.

  4. Precise predictions for double Higgs production in association with a vector boson in Effective Field Theory

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

First NNLO QCD cross sections for pp→Vhh in SMEFT and HEFT, provided as interpolated coefficients; W±hh K-factors are almost EFT-independent while Zhh is sensitive to gluon-initiated contributions.

  5. Quantum detection of CP violation in the $t\bar{t}$ system: production

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

CP-odd SMEFT top interactions appear as ΔB and antisymmetric C_A in the tt̄ production density matrix; direct markers beat most QI measures for CP sensitivity at LHC and FCC-ee.

  6. Tailored PDFs for New Physics searches

    hep-ph 2026-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Using closure tests with W', Z', and coloron models, the paper shows that either excluding high-energy data or fitting PDFs jointly with SMEFT coefficients prevents new-physics signals from being absorbed into the pro...

  7. Complete two-loop Yukawa-induced running of the Higgs-gluon coupling in SMEFT

    hep-ph 2025-10 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

For the first time, the two-loop Yukawa-induced renormalisation-group running of the Higgs-gluon coupling from D^2H^4 and D H^2 ψ^2 SMEFT operators is computed.

  8. Constraining four-heavy-quark operators with top-quark, Higgs, and electroweak precision data

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A combined fit of LHC and LEP data constrains the five four-heavy-quark Wilson coefficients, and shows that gamma5-scheme choices can shift the resulting bounds.

  9. Cornering Natural SUSY at a Tera-$Z$ Factory

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

FCC-ee's Tera-Z electroweak precision program could probe natural supersymmetric particles up to multi-TeV masses, sometimes better than Higgs coupling measurements, assuming Standard Model theory uncertainties can be...
