In this present work, we study the observational appearance of Kerr-Melvin black hole (KMBH) illuminated by an accretion disk. The accretion disk is assumed to be located on the equatorial plane and be thin both geometrically and optically. Considering the fact that outside the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) the accretion flow moves in prograde or retrograde circular orbit and falls towards the horizon along plunging orbit inside the ISCO, we develop the numerical backward ray-tracing method and obtain the images of KMBH accompanying with the accretion disk for various black hole spins, strengths of magnetic fields and inclination angles of observers. We present the intensity distribution horizontally and longitudinally and show the profiles of the red-shift for the direct and lensed images. Our study suggests that the inner shadow and critical curves can be used to estimate the magnetic field around a black hole without degeneration.

Novel extended inner shadow in images of Johannsen-Psaltis black holes with thin accretion disks
JP black holes with non-closed horizons produce an 'extended inner shadow' distinct from the ordinary inner shadow, and all image scales (inner shadow, photon ring, peak positions) grow monotonically with |ϵ3|.

Geodesics and shadows of the spindle-deformed Kerr black hole
In the spindle-deformed Kerr black hole, null geodesics separate at O(B²) while timelike do not; the deformation shifts the ISCO, can create an OSCO, and enlarges the shadow versus Kerr.

Critical Behavior of Photon Rings in Kerr-Bertotti-Robinson Spacetime
For a magnetized Kerr-Bertotti-Robinson black hole, the photon-ring parameters gamma, delta, and tau all decrease compared with the unmagnetized Kerr case, weakening the self-similar stacking of higher-order images.

A Universal Framework for Horizon-Scale Tests of Gravity with Black Hole Shadows
An adaptive ray-tracing and MCMC framework estimates shadow observables for arbitrary stationary metrics; applied to the Kerr–Bertotti–Robinson spacetime it yields an Sgr A* horizon-scale magnetic field of about 93 G ...

Optical Characteristics of the Kerr-Bertotti-Robinson Black Hole
For the Kerr-Bertotti-Robinson black hole, the magnetic field mainly enlarges the shadow and Einstein ring while rotation mainly distorts the shadow shape, and current M87* and Sgr A* data give only weak bounds on the field.

Optical Images of the Braneworld Black Hole Surrounded by an Optically Thin Accretion Disk
A rotating braneworld black hole with tidal charge casts an asymmetric, spin- and q-dependent shadow; with the adopted disk emissivity, its 86 GHz image is brighter than its 230 GHz image.

Probing Lorentz-violating effects via precession and accretion disk images of a rotating bumblebee black hole
Lorentz violation in a rotating bumblebee black hole suppresses Lense-Thirring precession, increases periastron precession, shrinks the inner shadow, and enhances the lensed ring while leaving the critical curve nearl...

Semi-analytical Study on the Polarized Images of Black Hole due to Frame Dragging
Frame dragging flips an initially retrograde equatorial flow around a Kerr black hole, and the polarized image shows three distinct critical locations whose spatial hierarchy is derived analytically for an on-axis observer.

Image of a quantum-corrected black hole without Cauchy horizons illuminated by a static thin accretion disk
For the no-Cauchy-horizon quantum-corrected metric, a larger quantum parameter produces larger horizon, photon sphere, ISCO, and shadow, with narrower and tighter-spaced photon and lensed rings.

Image of the time-dependent black hole
For a Vaidya black hole with linearly growing mass, the accretion disk image's bright spot shifts radially outward with the conformal time coordinate, while the observed flux in the conformal frame remains time-independent.

Optical images of the Kerr-Sen black hole and thin accretion disk
Ray-traced images of a Kerr-Sen black hole with a thin accretion disk show spin-dominated inner-shadow deformation and inclination-dominated redshift maps, while the 86-versus-230 GHz brightness gap is inherited from ...
