These notes are the written version of my lectures at the Banach Center mini-school "Schubert Varieties" in Warsaw, May 18-22, 2003. Their aim is to give a self-contained exposition of some geometric aspects of Schubert calculus.

  1. Equidistribution of currents under Anosov group actions

    math.DS 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Under Patterson-Sullivan-type averaging, generic complex subvarieties (and all smooth forms) on G/B equidistribute to a Gibbs current supported on the flag-limit set of the Anosov group.

  2. Newton--Okounkov bodies of partial flag varieties via cluster algebras

    math.AG 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Constructs Newton-Okounkov polytopes of Schubert varieties in partial flag varieties via cluster algebras on unipotent cells and proves infinitely many nonequivalent polytopes exist in infinite-type cases, yielding in...

  3. Schubert line defects in 3d GLSMs, part II: Partial flag manifolds and parabolic quantum polynomials

    hep-th 2026-01 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Schubert line defects in 3d GLSMs for partial flag manifolds reproduce parabolic Whitney polynomials for Schubert classes in quantum K-theory and yield new parabolic quantum Grothendieck polynomials.

  4. Schubert line defects in 3d GLSMs, part I: Complete flag manifolds and quantum Grothendieck polynomials

    hep-th 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Schubert line defects in 3d GLSMs for complete flag manifolds are realized as SQM quivers whose indices give quantum Grothendieck polynomials and restrict the target space to Schubert varieties.

  5. Generators of top cohomology

    math.AC 2025-01 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The paper gives explicit generators for the trace map's domain in two new cases: smooth projective morphisms over a DVR with a section, and Grassmannians G_{2,m} over Z.

  6. Positive Cones of Parabolic Grassmann Bundle over a curve

    math.AG 2026-07 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Defines parabolic Grassmann bundles and computes their Neron-Severi group and positivity cones over curves.

  7. On the Schubert calculus of the quantum K-theory for partial flag manifolds: a 3d A-model perspective

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Computes 2- and 3-point functions of Schubert line defects in 3d A-model for partial flag manifolds Fl(k;n) to obtain K-theoretic Littlewood-Richardson coefficients, with small-beta limit recovering 2d quantum cohomology.

  8. Non-K\"ahler metrics on complex manifolds of LVMB type

    math.DG 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Derives characteristic class formula for LVMB bundles over toric bases and establishes obstructions plus a new example for balanced metrics, with SKT characterization on LVM manifolds.
