abstract
We study the production of loops in the cosmic string network in the expanding background by means of a numerical simulation exact in the flat-spacetime limit and first-order in the expansion rate. We find an initial regime characterized by production of small loops at the scale of the initial correlation length, but later we see the emergence of a scaling regime of loop production. This qualitatively agrees with earlier expectations derived from the results of flat-spacetime simulations. In the final scaling regime we find that the characteristic length of loops scales as $\sim 0.1 t$ in both radiation and matter eras.

Gravitational Wave Imprints of a High-Quality Axion and the Origin of Flavor Hierarchies
Gauged U(1)_F flavor symmetries shield the axion from quantum gravity corrections, yielding unit domain wall number and a plateau-valley GW spectrum from flavonic and axionic strings as a probe of flavored axion dark matter.

Cogenesis of baryon and lepton number asymmetries matching the EMPRESS Data
A U(1)_{B-L} flaton decay chain can produce both a large positive electron-neutrino asymmetry and the observed baryon asymmetry, with values matching EMPRESS and BBN for a symmetry-breaking scale around 10^10 GeV.

Monopoles, Strings, Walls and Gravitational waves
Breaking SU(2) flavor gauge symmetry stepwise to nothing leaves monopoles, strings, and walls; collapsing walls can form composite strings whose gravitational-wave spectra fit PTA data and lie within reach of LVK and ...

Gravitational Waves from hybrid defects as probe of Flavor symmetry breaking: Machine-Learning Approach
Hybrid string-bounded domain wall networks from sequential U(1)_F and Z2 symmetry breaking generate a GW spectrum with a unique low-frequency slope that future detectors can observe and an MLP surrogate can characteri...

Magnetic monopoles and high frequency gravitational waves from quasi-stable strings
SO(10) breaking through flipped SU(5) or Pati-Salam subgroups can produce GUT monopoles from merging monopole-antimonopole pairs, while the intervening quasi-stable strings emit gravitational waves from Hz to kHz.

C-parity, magnetic monopoles and higher frequency gravitational waves
The C-string-wall network from SO(10) breaking with unbroken C-parity produces a gravitational wave background peaking between 100 Hz and 100 kHz for intermediate breaking scales around 10^10 to 10^12 GeV.
