abstract

It is shown that extremal magnetic black hole solutions of N = 2 supergravity coupled to vector multiplets $X^\Lambda$ with a generic holomorphic prepotential $F(X^\Lambda)$ can be described as supersymmetric solitons which interpolate between maximally symmetric limiting solutions at spatial infinity and the horizon. A simple exact solution is found for the special case that the ratios of the $X^\Lambda$ are real, and it is seen that the logarithm of the conformal factor of the spatial metric equals the Kahler potential on the vector multiplet moduli space. Several examples are discussed in detail.

  1. Integral Scaling for EFT Strings from the Bottom-Up

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Under brane-taxonomy axioms and an n_e≤7 homogeneity bound, integral scaling with w≤3 is an exhaustive finite consequence for all EFT string candidates in 4d N=1 moduli slices.

  2. IR Black Hole Instabilities Trigger Species-Scale Particle Production

    hep-th 2026-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A mechanism is proposed in which black hole instability at the tower scale converts a fraction of the mass into particles at the species scale, with Hawking evaporation subdominant.

  3. Intersection Bounds for BPS Strings in Six-Dimensional Supergravity

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Using a lattice Zariski decomposition of the gravitational charge and E8 current-algebra embeddings, the paper bounds previously uncontrolled BPS-string intersections: C_-3·e ≤ 3, C_-2·e ≤ 7, and isolated gauged C_-2·...

  4. The Fate of Black Hole-Induced Moduli Excursions in the Presence of Scalar Potentials

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Black-hole moduli throats survive or fail according to how a potential’s force, sign, oscillations, or barrier distance behave along the GHS scalar trajectory, not by the mere presence of a mass.

  5. Supersymmetry and Attractors in N = 4 Supergravity: The Superconformal Approach

    hep-th 2026-03 unverdicted novelty 5.5 of 10

Numerical confirmation of the attractor mechanism and 1/4 supersymmetry preservation for generic dyonic extremal black holes in pure N=4 supergravity.

  6. Extended Supergravity Needs String Scale Cut-off

    hep-th 2026-06 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

String-scale UV cut-off in the gravitational path integral removes string-coupling dependence from the BPS black hole index in extended supergravity, matching supersymmetry expectations for zero-Euler-number cases.

  7. Rational points in the 6d supergravity landscape and simple current extensions

    hep-th 2026-03 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Rationality of the 2d SCFT on BPS strings provides a consistency criterion that uniquely determines the elliptic genus and global gauge group in a class of 6d supergravity models without tensor multiplets.

  8. Interpolating between multi-center microstate geometries

    hep-th 2021-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Constructs a 2-center helical-profile solution that interpolates between two circular-profile Lunin-Mathur microstate geometries while exhibiting charge delocalization and transfer between centers.

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 3.0 of 10

The static Reissner-Nordström black hole embedded in Bertotti-Robinson (AdS₂ × S²) is supersymmetric in N=2 D=4 supergravity, saturates the BPS bound, and yields mass and thermodynamic relations with a cosmological-co...
