Theoretical proposal for a spacecraft-Earth experiment to constrain spin- and velocity-dependent fifth forces mediated by ultralight vector bosons, claiming up to three orders of magnitude improvement over current bounds.
kSZ measurements constrain the gravitational acceleration between galaxy halos to follow g ∝ 1/r^{2.1±0.3}, consistent with Newtonian gravity in ΛCDM.
The graviscalar quasinormal mode spectrum and late-time power-law tails of a Rastall thick brane are computed numerically, showing that the Rastall parameter λ controls mode lifetimes and tail exponents.
For Lμ-Lτ gauge forces with g ≳ 10^{-18}, Schwinger neutrino production in neutron stars alters composition, invalidates merger constraints at g ≳ 10^{-17}, and could yield detectable ~100 MeV neutrino fluxes from young stars at ~100 pc.
A naturally light scalar-like distortion field emerges in generalized gravity and mixes with the Higgs boson.
A unified post-Newtonian analysis shows that metric vs Palatini scalar-tensor gravity can yield different γ, β and Yukawa suppression, with Palatini f(R̂) recovering GR’s exterior PN limit for point sources.
Cosmological data can constrain only a handful of EFT parameters for single-scalar dark energy; extended models show modest preference over Λ but remain underdetermined and challenged by fifth forces and screening.
Experiments confirm general relativity to high precision in weak-field and strong-field regimes, with gravitational wave damping matching predictions to better than 0.5 percent.
A comprehensive review of modified gravity theories and their cosmological consequences, including a parameterized post-Friedmannian formalism for constraining deviations from General Relativity.
