We construct a class of extended shift symmetries for fields of all integer spins in de Sitter (dS) and anti-de Sitter (AdS) space. These generalize the shift symmetry, galileon symmetry, and special galileon symmetry of massless scalars in flat space to all symmetric tensor fields in (A)dS space. These symmetries are parametrized by generalized Killing tensors and exist for fields with particular discrete masses corresponding to the longitudinal modes of massive fields in partially massless limits. We construct interactions for scalars that preserve these shift symmetries, including an extension of the special galileon to (A)dS space, and discuss possible generalizations to interacting massive higher-spin particles.

  1. Kontorovich-Lebedev-Fourier Space for de Sitter Correlators

    hep-th 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 8.0

A Kontorovich-Lebedev-Fourier space is built for (d+1)-dimensional de Sitter correlators from the Casimir operator of SO(1,d+1), producing rational propagators and Feynman rules that turn tree and loop diagrams into s...

    hep-th 2026-01 unverdicted novelty 8.0

A Kontorovitch-Lebedev-Fourier momentum space is constructed for de Sitter QFT where the dS frequency labels unitary representations, making equations algebraic and propagators simple like in flat space.

  3. Protected operators in non-local defect CFTs from AdS

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0

Defect-induced symmetry breaking viewed from the AdS bulk enforces protected displacement and tilt operators in non-local boundary CFTs via Ward identities.

  4. Horizon Edge Partition Functions in $\Lambda>0$ Quantum Gravity

    hep-th 2026-03 unverdicted novelty 7.0

Horizon edge mode spectra in de Sitter and Nariai spacetimes exhibit universal shift symmetries that produce novel symmetry breaking in one-loop partition functions.

  5. Gravitons on Nariai Edges

    hep-th 2025-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0

The one-loop graviton path integral on S² × S^{d-1} factorizes into a bulk thermal graviton gas partition function in Nariai geometry and an edge contribution from shift-symmetric fields on S^{d-1}.

  6. Broken and restored: a holographic constraint for AdS vacua with orbifolds

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Holographic constraint on AdS vacua is violated for Z2 orbifolds but restored by non-abelian extensions, implying O-planes cannot wrap cycles in distinct homology classes.

  7. De Sitter Horizon Edge Partition Functions

    hep-th 2025-01 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Edge partition functions for totally symmetric tensors in dS_{d+1} are decomposed under so(d), with the linearized gravity case receiving contributions from shift-symmetric fields on S^{d-1} suggesting an embedded bra...
