Einstein-aether Elliptic Charges and the First Law of Asymptotically AdS Black Holes
Einstein-aether theory admits an elliptic charge arising from a symmetry of the reduced action that explains the misalignment contribution to the first law for asymptotically AdS universal horizons.

Hodge Dual Gauge Symmetry in Minimal Einstein-Aether Theory
The minimal Einstein-aether vector field is the Hodge dual of a 3-form gauge field, making the two theories equivalent and showing that divergence-free aether fields are physically trivial.
