abstract
We compute the dimensionality dependence of $\eta/s$ for charged black branes with Gauss-Bonnet correction. We find that both causality and stability constrain the value of Gauss-Bonnet coupling constant to be bounded by 1/4 in the infinite dimensionality limit. We further show that higher dimensionality stabilize the gravitational perturbation. The stabilization of the perturbation in higher dimensional space-time is a straightforward consequence of the Gauss-Bonnet coupling constant bound.

Hydrodynamical transports in generic AdS Gauss-Bonnet-scalar Gravity
Analytic shear and bulk viscosity formulas are derived for a five-dimensional Einstein-Scalar-Maxwell-Gauss-Bonnet holographic model, with the shear viscosity cross-checked by Kubo methods.

Phase transition of hot dense QCD Matter from a refined holographic EMD model
A holographic EMD model calibrated to lattice QCD predicts a kappa sigma squared peak at 3 to 5 GeV in heavy-ion collisions, provided the chemical freeze-out curve avoids the first-order transition line.
