Primordial black holes as dark matter may be generated in single-field models of inflation thanks to the enhancement at small scales of the comoving curvature perturbation. This mechanism requires leaving the slow-roll phase to enter a non-attractor phase during which the inflaton travels across a plateau and its velocity drops down exponentially. We argue that quantum diffusion has a significant impact on the primordial black hole mass fraction making the classical standard prediction not trustable.

    astro-ph.CO 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Derives stochastic equations from Schwinger-Keldysh formalism that include quantum diffusion and classical metric perturbations for non-perturbative ultra-slow-roll inflation, validated on Starobinsky and critical Hig...

  2. Hamiltonians to all Orders in Perturbation Theory and Higher Loop Corrections in Single Field Inflation with PBHs Formation

    astro-ph.CO 2025-02 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Derives all-order Hamiltonians via EFT of inflation for USR models and shows L-loop corrections to CMB-scale perturbations scale as (ΔN P_e L)^L, exiting perturbative control at L=4 for typical ΔN≈2.5.

  3. Non-Perturbative Hamiltonian and Higher Loop Corrections in USR Inflation

    astro-ph.CO 2025-02 unverdicted novelty 6.0

In USR inflation with an idealized instantaneous sharp transition to slow-roll, higher loop corrections to curvature perturbations on CMB scales grow rapidly with loop order L and may exit perturbative control.

  4. Constraints on Primordial Black Holes

    astro-ph.CO 2020-02 accept novelty 4.0

Updated compilation shows PBHs are tightly constrained across 55 orders of magnitude in mass, ruling out dominant dark matter contributions except in narrow windows, with many limits carrying observational uncertainties.
