The rare $K \to \pi \nu \bar{\nu}$ decay modes and the parameter $\epsilon_K$ that measures CP violation in Kaon mixing are sensitive probes of physics beyond the standard model. In this article we provide the updated standard-model prediction for the rare decay modes in detail, and summarise the status of standard-model prediction of $\epsilon_K$. We find $\text{BR}(K^+ \to \pi^+ \nu \bar \nu) = 7.73(61) \times 10^{-11}$ and $\text{BR}(K_L \to \pi^0 \nu \bar \nu) = 2.59(29) \times 10^{-11}$. The uncertainties are dominated by parametric input.

  1. Four-loop QCD mixing of current-current operators

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 8.0

The anomalous dimension of |ΔS|=1 current-current operators is calculated analytically at NNNLO in QCD, with basis transformation rules provided.

  2. Challenging Majorana neutrino effects in $B\to K^{(\ast)}\nu\nu$ and $K\to \pi\nu\nu$ decays

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0

Belle-II's B→Kνν excess cannot be explained by dimension-7 lepton-number-violating SMEFT operators without fine-tuning neutrino masses, while a light sterile-neutrino extension can, with testable decay spectra.

  3. A CKM blind spot: probing $b$-column rescaling with kaons

    hep-ph 2026-07 accept novelty 6.0

A uniform rescaling of the CKM b-column is invisible to B-physics-only fits, and kaon data already bound it to −4%…+4% (2σ), with projections reaching ~2%.

  4. Radiative generation of chiral vector operators in $b\to s \nu\bar{\nu}$ transition

    hep-ph 2026-01 conditional novelty 6.0

Minimal one-loop models that generate both chiral vector operators for b→sνν̄ are systematically classified but cannot quantitatively explain the Belle II anomaly.

  5. Feasibility Study of Lepton Number Violation in Rare $B$ and $K$ Meson Decays

    hep-ph 2026-01 conditional novelty 6.0

Dimension-7 lepton-number-violating operators can make B→Kνν and K→πνν observable only in flavor-hierarchical scenarios (first lepton generation decoupled) or with a cutoff near 100-200 GeV; otherwise baryon washout a...

  6. Prospects for $K_{L}\to\pi^{0}\nu\bar{\nu}$, $K_S\to\mu^+\mu^-$, $K_L\to\pi^0 \ell^+\ell^-$ and $\varepsilon^{\prime}/\varepsilon$ after the new $K^{+}\to\pi^{+}\nu\bar{\nu}$ result from NA62

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0

A Z' model with both left- and right-handed sbar-d couplings can enhance K_L→π0ννbar by an order of magnitude while keeping K+→π+ννbar and ε_K SM-like.

  7. CP violation in $\Sigma^+\to p\ell^+\ell^-$ within the standard model and beyond

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 5.0

The CP-violating decay-rate asymmetry in Σ⁺→pℓ⁺ℓ⁻ is allowed to reach tens of percent and is testable at LHCb.

  8. $\Lambda_b\to\Lambda^{(*)}\nu{\bar\nu}$ and $b\to s$ $B$ decays

    hep-ph 2025-09 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Predictions for Br(Λ_b → Λ^{(*)} ν ν̄) are 2.07 times the SM value with new physics scale constrained to 2.04–11.76 TeV at 1σ, plus a sum rule linking baryonic and mesonic modes.
