Effective field theories (EFTs) of heavy particles coupled to the inflaton are rife with operator redundancies, frequently obscured by sensitivity to both boundary terms and field redefinitions. We initiate a systematic study of these redundancies by establishing a minimal operator basis for an archetypal example, the abelian gauge-Higgs-inflaton EFT. Working up to dimension 9, we show that certain low-dimensional operators are entirely redundant and identify new non-redundant operators with potentially interesting cosmological collider signals. Our methods generalize straightforwardly to other EFTs of heavy particles coupled to the inflaton.

  1. Dissecting the Scalar Cosmological Collider with the Cosmic Microwave Background

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 accept novelty 7.0 of 10

A joint Bayesian fit of the multi-field inflationary Lagrangian to Planck bispectrum data finds no cosmological collider signal (max Δχ²=5.3) and shows weak-mixing template searches are invalid except at the smallest masses.

  2. On-Shell Bootstrap of Loop Inflation Correlators with Spectral Dispersion

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Introduces spectral dispersion bootstrap combining dS spectral decomposition and dispersion relations to compute 3- and 4-point loop correlators with massive scalar and vector exchanges.

  3. Fermionic Bubble Loop in Cosmological Collider Revisited: Exact signals from spectral and Mellin-Barnes methods

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Exact fermionic bubble loop signals in cosmological collider physics are obtained via spectral and Mellin-Barnes methods, with the Yukawa bispectrum vanishing identically due to field redefinition.

  4. Non-Relativistic Cosmological Collider Signals

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Non-relativistic propagation of a tilted-ghost spectator field during inflation produces boostless cosmological collider non-Gaussianity via an effective chemical-potential-like tilt parameter.

  5. Scalars at the Cosmological Collider: Full Shapes of Tree Diagrams and Bispectrum Searches using Planck Data

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Unified tree-level bispectrum shapes for cosmological collider processes are computed and searched in Planck data, yielding no detection but a weak hint for chemical potential extensions at ω - M ≃ 3H.

  6. Massive Exchange and the Sign of the Equilateral Bispectrum

    hep-th 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

The equilateral bispectrum from massive scalar exchange in inflation is not universally negative in the full EFT of inflation; its sign depends on a critical ratio of operator coefficients.

  7. AGILE: an end-to-end Rubin-LSST simulation of AGNs, galaxies, and stars I. Software description and first data release

    astro-ph.GA 2026-03 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

AGILE builds a 24 deg² truth catalog and a 1 deg² three-year LSST pilot (DR1) to measure flux recovery and Type-1 AGN completeness/purity from color and variability selections.
