Relaxing constraints on a broad dark photon
read the original abstract
We revisit the exclusion constraints on the parameters of a narrow dark photon set by direct experimental searches. We investigate how a dark photon with a larger decay width impacts these limits, in particular, in the case where the dark photon also decays into light dark matter. As an example, taking the upper limits on the mixing parameter, $\epsilon$, reported by the CMS collaboration, we find that they could be significantly relaxed. Indeed, even a very modest coupling of the dark photon to dark matter can lead to an increase in the bound on the mixing parameter by an order of magnitude.

Relaxed constraints for dark matter with axial coupling to a dark photon
Axial coupling of Dirac dark matter to a kinetically-mixed dark photon suppresses the standard direct-detection signal and opens large allowed regions in the WIMP parameter space.

GeV-scale thermal dark matter from dark photons: tightly constrained, yet allowed
In a dark-photon-mediated Dirac fermionic DM model, only narrow resonant regions with small dark-sector coupling allow the candidate to saturate the full relic density while evading current direct and indirect detecti...

WIMP Dark Matter within the dark photon portal
Derives lower limits on dark photon parameters from thermal relic density for Dirac fermion and complex scalar WIMPs and compares resulting spin-independent cross sections to direct detection upper bounds.
