abstract

The search for new interactions of neutrinos beyond those of the Standard Model may help to elucidate the mechanism responsible for neutrino masses. Here we combine existing accelerator neutrino data with restrictions coming from a recent atmospheric neutrino data analysis in order to lift parameter degeneracies and improve limits on new interactions of muon neutrinos with quarks. In particular we re-consider the results of the NuTeV experiment in view of a new evaluation of its systematic uncertainties. We find that, although constraints for muon neutrinos are better than those applicable to tau or electron neutrinos, they lie at the few $\times 10^{-2}$ level, not as strong as previously believed. We briefly discuss prospects for further improvement.

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

IceCube DeepCore atmospheric neutrino data yields δ_CP-independent constraints on NSI parameters ε_eμ and ε_eτ that are consistent with standard interactions.

  2. CP violating signal at DUNE in presence of nonstandard interactions and the role of second oscillation maxima

    hep-ph 2026-01 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

DUNE's second oscillation maximum (low-energy 8 GeV beam) amplifies CP-violating asymmetry in nonstandard-interaction scenarios, improving intrinsic-CP extraction and raising projected discovery significance above 12σ...

  3. Non-Standard Neutrino Interactions at Neutrino Experiments and Colliders

    hep-ph 2025-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0 of 10

Collider searches are generally more constraining than neutrino measurements on simplified models of non-standard neutrino interactions, except possibly for muon-philic leptoquarks and certain heavy neutral leptons.
