We give a pedagogical introduction to black holes (BHs) greybody factors (GFs) and quasinormal modes (QNMs) and share the recent developments on those subjects. In this study, our primary focus will be on the bosonic and fermionic GFs and QNMs of various BH and brane geometries and reveal the fingerprints of the invisibles with the radiation spectra to be obtained by the WKB approximation and bounding the Bogoliubov coefficients (together with the Miller-Good transformation) methods. 1. Absorption spectrum and greybody factors of charged black holes in loop quantum gravity

    gr-qc 2026-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The absorption cross section of massless scalar waves by a charged loop-quantum-gravity black hole increases with the quantum parameter in an intermediate frequency band, decreases with charge, and matches classical a...

  2. Evaporating cosmologically coupled black holes

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

If a black hole's mass grows with cosmic expansion, Hawking evaporation is slowed or reversed, weakening gamma-ray bounds on primordial black holes.
