We propose a novel observable for the experimental detection of the gluon orbital angular momentum (OAM) that constitutes the proton spin sum rule. We consider longitudinal double spin asymmetry in exclusive dijet production in electron-proton scattering and demonstrate that the $\cos \phi$ azimuthal angle correlation between the scattered electron and proton is a sensitive probe of the gluon OAM at small-$x$ and its interplay with the gluon helicity. We also present a numerical estimate of the cross section for the kinematics of the Electron-Ion Collider.

    hep-ph 2026-07 accept novelty 6.0

Exclusive heavy-quark pair electroproduction is expressed through gluon GTMDs, with all azimuthal modulations catalogued and shown to reduce consistently to GPD-based formulas in the collinear limit.

  2. Exclusive Quark and Gluon Dijet Production as Probes of GPDs at Collider Energies

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0

Exclusive dijet electroproduction probes GPDs via new LO amplitudes for quark (with helicity and QED) and gluon channels, with HERA comparison and EIC projections.

  3. Gluon Generalized TMD signatures at the EIC from exclusive heavy (axial-)vector meson production

    hep-ph 2026-01 conditional novelty 6.0

Exclusive heavy vector-meson electroproduction can yield cos2φ and sin2φ azimuthal asymmetries whose coefficients contain moments of gluon GTMDs F_{1,4} and G_{1,1}.

  4. Exclusive Quark and Gluon Dijet Production as Probes of GPDs at Collider Energies

    hep-ph 2026-07 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Exclusive quark and gluon dijet electroproduction is analyzed in collinear factorization as a GPD probe, extending prior work with helicity GPDs and an electromagnetic channel, with HERA comparisons and EIC projections.

  5. T-odd Wigner Distributions in boost-invariant longitudinal position space and Spin-momentum correlation in proton

    hep-ph 2024-08 unverdicted novelty 5.0

T-odd leading-twist GTMDs in σ-space exhibit -t-dependent oscillations with transverse-longitudinal interference, while Sivers and Boer-Mulders Wigner distributions encode proton spin-transverse momentum correlations.

  6. Spin Structure of the Nucleon: Overview

    hep-ph 2026-07 unverdicted

A pedagogical review consolidates the proton spin decomposition into quark/gluon spin and orbital angular momentum, emphasizing gauge-invariant OAM definitions, small-x cancellations, and EIC observables.
