We present a microscopic theory of the neutral collective modes supported by the non-Abelian fractional quantum Hall states at filling factor 5/2. The theory is formulated in terms of the trial states describing the Girvin-MacDonald-Platzman (GMP) mode and its fermionic counterpart. These modes are superpartners of each other in a concrete sense, which we elucidate.

  1. Chiral Graviton Theory of Fractional Quantum Hall States

    cond-mat.str-el 2025-09 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

By gauging area-preserving diffeomorphisms and adding a Stueckelberg mass term, the paper constructs a nonlinear effective theory whose quadratic limit reproduces the bimetric description of the chiral spin-2 magnetoroton.

  2. Fractional Quantum Hall Anyons via the Algebraic Topology of Exotic Flux Quanta

    cond-mat.mes-hall 2025-05 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Fractional quantum Hall anyons are re-derived from a non-Lagrangian flux quantization in 2-Cohomotopy, with new predictions for torus degeneracy and defect anyons.

  3. Gauging or extending bulk and boundary conformal field theories: Application to bulk and domain wall problem in topological matter and their descriptions by (mock) modular covariant

    hep-th 2024-12 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

New classes of boundary and coupled conformal field theories are constructed from Z_N gauging, with a proposed dictionary to topological order, nonchiral anyons, and domain walls.
