We derive the modified L\"uscher equation in the presence of the long-range force caused by the exchange of a light particle. It is shown that the use of this equation enables one to circumvent the problems related to the strong partial-wave mixing and the t-channel sub-threshold singularities. It is also demonstrated that the present method is intrinsically linked to the so-called modified effective-range expansion (MERE) in the infinite volume. A detailed comparison with the two recently proposed alternative approaches is provided.

  1. Resolving the $T_{cc}^+$ with $\pi$ Exchange from Lattice QCD

    hep-lat 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Including one-pion exchange nonperturbatively converts the lattice-QCD T_cc+ from a real-valued virtual bound state to a complex pole below the DD* threshold.

  2. Jacobi Coordinates on Hyper-tori and Geometric Factors in the Volume Dependencies

    nucl-th 2025-11 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The finite-volume energy shift of a clustered nucleus is the point-like two-body shift multiplied by a geometric factor that counts spin-isospin cluster partitions, and this factor is essential for extracting ANCs.

  3. Finite-volume quantization condition from the $N/D$ representation

    hep-lat 2024-11 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

A finite-volume quantization condition based on the N/D representation is derived and claimed to remain valid when the energy coincides with left-hand cuts, where the original Luescher condition fails.

  4. Data-driven trap theory for nuclear scattering

    nucl-th 2025-09 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A data-calibrated quantization condition is proposed to extract nuclear scattering phase shifts from harmonic-trap spectra for neutral and charged particles.

  5. Toward extracting scattering phase shift from integrated correlation functions IV: Coulomb corrections

    hep-lat 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

By subtracting the pure-Coulomb correlation function from the Coulomb-plus-short-range one, the authors derive a divergence-free integral relation to short-range phase shifts and verify it in an exactly solvable model.

  6. Low-energy $DD$ scattering in lattice QCD

    hep-lat 2025-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The first lattice QCD calculation of single-channel DD scattering finds a weakly repulsive S-wave isovector interaction and a slightly attractive P-wave isoscalar interaction.

  7. Analytic decomposition of two-body electroweak processes with left-hand cuts

    hep-lat 2026-07 accept novelty 5.0 of 10

An on-shell decomposition of 2+J o2 electroweak amplitudes isolates OPE poles, logs, and triangle singularities, leaving only smooth short-distance functions.

  8. Lattice perspectives on doubly heavy tetraquarks

    hep-lat 2025-02 accept novelty 1.0 of 10

A review of lattice QCD results concludes that doubly heavy tetraquarks Tbb(ud/us) are firmly predicted as bound states, Tcc appears as a virtual state at nonphysical masses, and Tbc is under active study.

  9. From scattering towards multi-hadron weak decays

    hep-lat 2025-01 unverdicted novelty 1.0 of 10

A review of current lattice QCD scattering calculations shows that finite-volume formalisms now enable multi-hadron weak decay studies with direct relevance to flavour physics.
