An analytical solution representing traversable asymptotically flat and symmetric wormholes was obtained without adding exotic matter in two different theories independently: in the Einstein-Maxwell-Dirac theory and in the second Randall-Sundrum brane-world model. Further, a smooth normalizable asymmetric wormhole solution has been recently obtained numerically in the Einstein-Maxwell-Dirac theory. Using the time-domain integration method we study quasinormal ringing of all these wormholes with emphasis to the regime of mimicking the near extremal Reissner-Nordstr\"om black holes, which is characterised by echoes. In addition, we calculate radius of shadows cast by these wormholes.

Long-Lived Quasinormal Modes and Quasi-Resonances around Non-Minimal Einstein-Yang-Mills Black Holes
Massive scalar fields around non-minimal Einstein-Yang-Mills black holes can form arbitrarily long-lived quasi-resonances in flat space, but not in de Sitter space; an analytic large-mass frequency formula is given.

Non-Minimal Einstein-Yang-Mills Black Holes: Fundamental Quasinormal Mode and Grey-Body factors versus Outburst of Overtones
For non-minimal Einstein-Yang-Mills black holes, the fundamental quasinormal mode stays Schwarzschild-like but the first overtones deviate sharply, with the ℓ=0 second overtone's real frequency tending to zero as the ...

Transition from Regular Black Holes to Wormholes in Covariant Effective Quantum Gravity: Scattering, Quasinormal Modes, and Hawking Radiation
For a quantum-corrected spacetime, the fundamental quasinormal mode differs little from Schwarzschild, higher overtones deviate significantly, and wormhole states have extremely long-lived modes.

Quasinormal modes and grey-body factors of Morris-Thorne wormholes
Sixth-order WKB formulas for wormhole quasinormal modes and grey-body factors are presented, but the grey-body factor part is internally inconsistent.

Gravitational quasinormal modes of the Hayward spacetime
Gravitational quasinormal modes of the Hayward black hole are computed with WKB and time-domain methods, showing that the quantum parameter gamma raises frequencies, weakens damping, and acts slightly more on the firs...

Black bounce sourced by non-minimally coupled linear electrodynamics and a canonical scalar field through a thin shell at the throat
A new family of black bounce and wormhole solutions in general relativity is constructed from a canonical scalar field non-minimally coupled to linear electrodynamics, with the required energy-condition violation conf...

Long-lived quasinormal modes and grey-body factors of supermassive black holes with a dark matter halo
Massive scalar fields around a Schwarzschild black hole with a dark matter halo ring longer as field mass grows, while realistic halo parameters leave quasinormal frequencies and grey-body factors almost unchanged.

Bonanno-Reuter regular black hole: quasi-resonances, grey-body factors and absorption cross-sections of a massive scalar field
Damping of massive scalar quasinormal modes decreases with field mass in the Bonanno-Reuter black hole, and grey-body factors shift to higher frequencies.

Correspondence between quasinormal modes and grey-body factors of spherically symmetric traversable wormholes
For three families of traversable wormholes, the authors verify that the WKB correspondence between quasinormal modes and grey-body factors, known for black holes, holds to second order beyond the eikonal limit.

Field Sources for Wormholes With Multiple Throats/Anti-throats

Traversable Wormholes Sourced by Dark Matter in Loop Quantum Cosmology
Loop quantum cosmology corrections allow NFW, pseudo-isothermal, and perfect-fluid dark matter profiles to source traversable wormholes, with the NFW model's shadow matching M87 for omega about 0.025.
