We describe a mechanism of the primordial black holes formation that can explain the existence of a population of supermassive black holes in galactic bulges. The mechanism is based on the formation of black holes from closed domain walls. The origin of such domain walls could be a result of the evolution of an effectively massless scalar field during inflation. The initial non-equilibrium distribution of the scalar field imposed by background de-Sitter fluctuations gives rise to the spectrum of black holes, which covers a wide range of masses -- from superheavy ones down to deeply subsolar. The primordial black holes of smaller masses are concentrated around the most massive ones within a fractal-like cluster.

  1. Smoluchowski Coagulation Equation and the Evolution of Primordial Black Hole Clusters

    astro-ph.CO 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Monte Carlo solutions to the Smoluchowski coagulation equation yield runaway timescales and mass evolution for primordial black hole clusters at different redshifts based on cluster properties.

  2. Soliton foam formation in the early Universe

    hep-th 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Post-inflationary quantum fluctuations of two scalar fields can form a three-dimensional soliton foam of closed domain walls, string-bounded walls, and scalar radiation, without a thermal phase transition.

  3. Influence of supermassive primordial black holes on ultraviolet luminosity of high-redshift galaxies

    astro-ph.GA 2025-09 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Fitting a model of supermassive primordial black holes to JWST data at z=11 reproduces the excess of bright galaxies, but the agreement reflects parameter tuning rather than an independent test.

  4. Little Red Dots from Small-Scale Primordial Black Hole Clustering

    astro-ph.CO 2025-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Densely clustered 30-solar-mass primordial black holes can sequentially merge into ~10^6 solar-mass seeds by redshift 6, possibly explaining JWST little red dots, with high spin from tidal torques and a two-peak gravi...

  5. Sub-Horizon Amplification of Curvature Perturbations: A New Route to Primordial Black Holes and Gravitational Waves

    astro-ph.CO 2025-04 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Any negative value of the second slow-roll parameter can amplify the scalar power spectrum through sub-horizon growth, so the usual ultra-slow-roll requirement of epsilon2 <= -6 is not necessary.
