We derive a formula for the entanglement entropy of two regions in momentum space that is generated by the scattering of weakly interacting scalar particles. We discuss an example where weak interactions entangle momentum scales above and below an infrared cutoff.

  1. Flavor--Kinetic Entanglement Production from Decay and Scattering at Finite Density

    hep-ph 2026-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

At finite density, the leading flavor-kinetic entanglement entropy equals twice the occupation-weighted branch-changing collision probability, and this quantity is used to diagnose first-order versus continuous therma...

  2. Extracting a Toponium Signal at the LHC with Spin and Quantum Information Tools

    hep-ph 2026-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Spin and quantum-information observables add only marginal statistical power beyond kinematic variables for isolating toponium in near-threshold top-pair events, but improve interpretability.

  3. Entanglement in Elastic and Inelastic Two-particle Scatterings at High Energy

    hep-th 2026-01 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In proton-neutron scattering, the inelastic charge-exchange channel produces more entanglement entropy in transverse momentum than the elastic channel, according to a new S-matrix derivation tied to measured cross sections.

  4. Spin versus Magic: Lessons from Gluon and Graviton Scattering

    hep-th 2025-08 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

For 2 to 2 scattering of massless spin-1/2 to spin-2 particles, the averaged generated magic decreases monotonically with spin, with maxima well below the two-qubit upper bound.

  5. Entropy from scattering in weakly interacting systems

    quant-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

For weak scattering, the von Neumann entropy of a subsystem increases whenever the initial local state has a zero eigenvalue and the full state commutes with the local spectral projectors, provided scattering connects...

  6. Subleading soft radiation during scattering of dressed states in QED

    hep-th 2025-11 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

With subleading-corrected Faddeev-Kulish dressing, tree-level QED bremsstrahlung below the dressing scale vanishes, and elastic dressed amplitudes equal the infrared-finite part of Fock amplitudes.
