We show that if dark matter consists of QCD axions in the post-inflationary scenario more than ten percent of it efficiently collapses into Bose stars at matter-radiation equality. Such a result is mostly independent of the present uncertainties on the axion mass. This large population of solitons, with asteroid masses and Earth-Moon distance sizes, might plausibly survive until today, with potentially interesting implications for phenomenology and experimental searches.

Amnesia in the Axion Misalignment Landscape
Kinetic misalignment fragmentation drives the small-scale axion spectrum toward the same attractor as post-inflationary axions, largely erasing the memory of the initial misalignment angle and velocity.

Detecting gravitational signatures of dark matter with atom gradiometers
Atom gradiometers, especially a space-based AEDGE+-like design, could probe a 10% dark matter clump subcomponent in the 10^6 to 10^10 kg window and order-10 ultralight dark matter overdensities through purely gravitat...

Bracketing the soliton-halo relation of ultralight dark matter
Numerical simulations and analytic equivalences show that the soliton-halo relation for ultralight dark matter is bracketed by the 1/2 relation as a lower bound and the 1/3 relation as an upper bound.

Terrestrial Very-Long-Baseline Atom Interferometry: Summary of the Second Workshop
