abstract
The Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix, which controls flavor mixing between the three generations of quark fermions, is a key input to the Standard Model of particle physics. In this paper, we identify a surprising connection between quantum entanglement and the degree of quark mixing. Focusing on a specific limit of $2 \to 2$ quark scattering mediated by electroweak bosons, we find that the quantum entanglement generated by scattering is minimized when the CKM matrix is almost (but not exactly) diagonal, in qualitative agreement with observation. With the discovery of neutrino masses and mixings, additional angles are needed to parametrize the Pontecorvo-Maki-Nakagawa-Sakata (PMNS) matrix in the lepton sector. Applying the same logic, we find that quantum entanglement is minimized when the PMNS matrix features two large angles and a smaller one, again in qualitative agreement with observation, plus a hint for suppressed CP violation. We speculate on the (unlikely but tantalizing) possibility that minimization of quantum entanglement might be a fundamental principle that determines particle physics input parameters.

Parameter Inference from Final-State Entanglement in Higgs Decays
With a spin/color-weighted entanglement entropy built from Higgs branching ratios, the Standard Model Higgs and W masses sit near the global maximum, and the preferred coupling ratio is SM-like.

Entanglement, Yang-Mills, and the Scattering Matrix as an SU(N)-equivariant Kernel
SU(N) symmetry fixes the entangling power of 2→2 scattering: Yang-Mills adjoint scattering has a group-only entanglement maximum at 90° (3/4 for SU(2), ≈0.91 for SU(3)), and maximal-entanglement preservation selects t...

Spin versus Magic: Lessons from Gluon and Graviton Scattering
For 2 to 2 scattering of massless spin-1/2 to spin-2 particles, the averaged generated magic decreases monotonically with spin, with maxima well below the two-qubit upper bound.

Emergent symmetry in a two-Higgs-doublet model from quantum information and nonstabiliserness
Imposing magic conservation, equivalent to commutativity of the initial density matrix and the T-matrix, in 2-to-2 two-Higgs-doublet scattering yields SO(8) for arbitrary initial states and SU(2)_R for definite-isospi...

Gedanken Experiments of Entanglement in Particle Physics: Interactions, Operators and Bell Inequalities in Flavor Space
Mass-identification, kaon-decay, and weak-mixing observables can be cast as spin-like operators whose correlations violate a Bell-type bound (0.44+0.90=1.34>1) in an idealized Gedanken framework.
