First observation of an attractive interaction between a proton and a multi-strange baryon
read the original abstract
This work presents the first experimental observation of the attractive strong interaction between a proton and a multi-strange baryon (hyperon) $\Xi^-$. The result is extracted from two-particle correlations of combined $\rm{p}-\Xi^{-}$$\oplus$$\rm{\bar{p}}-\bar{\Xi}^{+}$ pairs measured in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}=5.02$ TeV at the LHC with ALICE. The measured correlation function is compared with the prediction obtained assuming only an attractive Coulomb interaction and a standard deviation in the range $[3.6,5.3]$ is found. Since the measured $\rm{p}-\Xi^{-}$$\oplus$$\rm{\bar{p}}-\bar{\Xi}^{+}$ correlation is significantly enhanced with respect to the Coulomb prediction, the presence of an additional, strong, attractive interaction is evident. The data are compatible with recent lattice calculations by the HAL-QCD Collaboration, with a standard deviation in the range $ [1.8,3.7]$. The lattice potential predicts a shallow repulsive $\Xi^-$ interaction within pure neutron matter at saturation densities and this implies stiffer equations of state for neutron-rich matter including hyperons. Implications of the strong interaction for the modeling of neutron stars are discussed.

Quantum interference effects enhanced in $\pi^+p$ femtoscopic correlation functions
The π⁺p correlation peak near 140 MeV/c arises from quantum interference of incident and scattered waves, while the Δ decay peaks near 220 MeV/c; their m_T-dependent mix explains the ALICE peak shift.

Folded HAL-QCD potentials yield no dY bound states but a large dΛ scattering length and strong low-k correlation enhancement, with feed-down from Σ and Ξ clearly reshaping the observed dΛ signal.

Probing the hadronic molecular nature of the $\Omega(2012)$, $\Omega(2380)$, and $\Omega_c(3120)$ via femtoscopy correlation functions
Numerical correlation functions computed from effective potentials exhibit enhancements that indicate the hadronic molecular nature of the Ω(2012), Ω(2380), and Ωc(3120) resonances.

Probing the hadronic molecular nature of the $\Omega(2012)$, $\Omega(2380)$, and $\Omega_c(3120)$ via femtoscopy correlation functions
Correlation function calculations with coupled-channel potentials produce low-momentum enhancements that the authors interpret as signatures of the molecular structure of Ω(2012), Ω(2380), and Ωc(3120).

Accessing Exotic Hadronic States via Charmed-Meson Femtoscopy in Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collisions
Simulations indicate that heavy-ion collisions enhance the visibility of charmed-meson femtoscopic correlations compared to pp collisions, providing a probe for exotic hadronic states.

Scattering and Femtoscopic Correlation Functions of the $\Sigma_c^{++}\pi^{+}$, $\Sigma_c^{0}\pi^{-}$ and $\Sigma_b^{+}\pi^{+}$ Systems
Theoretical predictions show that femtoscopic correlation functions for neutral Σ_c^0 π^- pairs best constrain isotensor strong interactions in charm and bottom sectors, while Coulomb repulsion diminishes discriminati...
