It is known that the Einstein field equations in five dimensions admit more general spherically symmetric black holes on the brane than four-dimensional general relativity. We propose two families of analytic solutions (with g_tt\not=-1/g_rr), parameterized by the ADM mass and the PPN parameter beta, which reduce to Schwarzschild for beta=1. Agreement with observations requires |\beta-1| |\eta|<<1. The sign of eta plays a key role in the global causal structure, separating metrics which behave like Schwarzschild (eta<0) from those similar to Reissner-Nordstroem (eta>0). In the latter case, we find a family of black hole space-times completely regular.

Two types of quasinormal modes of Casadio-Fabbri-Mazzacurati brane-world black holes
Quasinormal modes of massive scalars in CFM brane-world black holes split into two types, with modes disappearing at critical masses where real or imaginary frequency parts reach zero.

Transition from Regular Black Holes to Wormholes in Covariant Effective Quantum Gravity: Scattering, Quasinormal Modes, and Hawking Radiation
For a quantum-corrected spacetime, the fundamental quasinormal mode differs little from Schwarzschild, higher overtones deviate significantly, and wormhole states have extremely long-lived modes.

Hawking Emission from Black Holes Evaporating toward Wormholes and the Accuracy of the WKB Approximation
Numerical greybody factors for photons and massless Dirac fields in Simpson-Visser and Casadio-Fabbri-Mazzacurati geometries reveal that WKB overestimates luminosities by orders of magnitude near wormhole endpoints, i...

Long-lived quasinormal frequencies for regular black hole supported by the Einasto profile in the presence of the magnetic field
For Einasto-supported regular black holes, larger effective scalar mass and certain halo parameters suppress the quasinormal damping rate, producing long-lived modes and shifting grey-body factors toward higher frequencies.

Wormholes from beyond
Using the Nakas-Kanti top-down approach, the author embeds the Morris-Thorne and Molina-Neves wormholes in a regular five-dimensional anti-de Sitter bulk, so the wormhole on the brane is supported entirely by bulk fields.

Images of Braneworld black holes with radiatively inefficient accretion flows
GRRT simulations of CFM braneworld black holes show nonmonotonic tidal-parameter effects on image morphology with normalized mismatches of order 10^3, indicating identification remains difficult even with ngEHT and BHEX.
