We study T-violating triple-product asymmetries in the quark-level decay b -> s u u(bar) within the standard model (SM). We find that only two types of triple products are non-negligible. The asymmetry in p_u . [s_u x s_u(bar)] or p_u(bar) . [s_u x s_u(bar)] can be as large as about 5%. It can be probed in B -> V_1 V_2 decays, where V_1 and V_2 are vector mesons. And the asymmetry in s_b . [p_u x p_s] can be in the range 1%--3%. One can search for this signal in the decay \Lambda_b -> \Lambda \pi^+ \pi^- or in B^* -> X_s X, where X_s and X then each decay into two mesons. All other triple-product asymmetries are expected to be small within the SM. This gives us new methods of searching for new physics.

  1. Full analysis of CP violation induced by the decay angular correlations in four-body cascade decays of heavy hadrons

    hep-ph 2025-04 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

The paper claims that published LHCb angular data for B0 to p pbar K+ pi- contain CP-violating angular asymmetries of about 10 percent, with statistical significances near five sigma.

  2. CP violation observables in baryon decays

    hep-ph 2024-11 accept novelty 5.0 of 10

Time-reversal-odd CP observables in baryon decays are proportional to the cosine of strong-phase differences, so they complement sine-suppressed direct CP asymmetries.

  3. Contributions of interference and non-interference components to CP asymmetries in heavy meson decays

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0 of 10

A Legendre-polynomial-zero partitioning scheme with sign weighting defines new observables A±^asy,l and ACP^asy,l that isolate interference versus non-interference terms in CP asymmetries for heavy meson decays.
