We study meson decays mediated by the heavy gauge bosons of the Pati-Salam model of quark-lepton unification. We consider the scenarios in which the tau lepton is associated with the third, second, and first generation of quarks. The most sensitive probes, depending on the scenario, are rare K, pi, and B decays.

  1. Asymptotic grand unification in SO(10) with one extra dimension

    hep-ph 2025-05 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

A 5D SO(10) model with a 10, 120, and 16 Higgs can make gauge couplings asymptotically safe and Yukawa couplings asymptotically free, but only with an exact matching condition at the compactification scale.

  2. Matter Unification and Lepton Flavour Violation

    hep-ph 2026-03 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Muon-to-electron conversion at Mu2e can probe quark–lepton unification scales up to ~10^4 TeV in the minimal SU(4)_C×SU(2)_L×U(1)_R model, even where rare kaon decays are suppressed by unknown mixing angles.

  3. TeV Scale Quark-Lepton Unification

    hep-ph 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

A quark-lepton unified Pati-Salam model with Z2 symmetry realizes a leptoquark gauge boson as light as 4.3 TeV, compatible with LHC and flavor constraints, and predicts testable lepton flavor violation plus new vector...

  4. Quark-Lepton Unification Signatures

    hep-ph 2025-11 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

In the minimal low-scale quark-lepton unification model, scalar leptoquarks decay mainly to third-generation quarks and leptons, and current LHC measurements exclude masses below roughly 1.0–1.15 TeV in the y2=0 benchmark.

  5. Lepton non-universality in $B$-decays in the minimal leptoquark gauge model

    hep-ph 2019-06 unverdicted novelty 2.0 of 10

Review of the room left for B-decay anomalies inside the minimal low-energy leptoquark gauge model with SU(4)_C ⊗ SU(2)_L ⊗ U(1)_R symmetry.

  6. Constraints on New Physics from $B$ mesons

    hep-ph 2019-08 unverdicted

A 2019 review of B meson and kaon physics anomalies, summarizing the evidence for lepton flavor universality violation and tensions in mixing and CP violation, and assessing new physics explanations.
