abstract

We reexamine the recent instanton motivated studies of Alford, Rajagopal and Wilczek, and Berges and Rajagopal in the framework of the standard SU(2) Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. The chiral phase diagram is calculated in the temperature--density plane, and the pressure is evaluated as the function of the density. Obtaining simple approximate relations describing the $T$-$\mu$ and $T$-$p_F$ phase transition lines we find that the results of the instanton based model and that of the NJL model are identical. The diquark transition line is also given.

  1. Flavor-Dependent QCD Critical Endpoint and Dual-Channel Fluctuations from Multi-Charge Holography

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A multi-charge holographic QCD model predicts coherent baryon- and charge-fluctuation peaks at sqrt(s_NN) ≈ 5-7 GeV, marking the QCD critical endpoint.

  2. Renormalizing the Quark-Meson-Diquark Model

    hep-ph 2025-05 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Renormalized and two RG-consistent versions of the Quark-Meson-Diquark model reproduce the BCS relation and Stefan-Boltzmann limit at high density, while the sigma-delta scheme violates the BCS relation.

  3. Electron-Ion Collision Environment: Distribution of Quark Spin and Orbital Angular Momentum

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Using NJL density-dependent quark masses in a light-front dressed-quark model, the paper predicts O(10–40%) medium modifications of GTMDs linked to quark OAM, spin, and spin–orbit correlation, and defines eA/eP GTMD r...

  4. A Critical Point on the Hairy Black Hole Phase Boundary in the Improved Holographic Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton Theory

    hep-th 2025-09 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

In the improved holographic EMD model, two hairy black hole phases are separated by a U-shaped boundary whose lower branch is first-order and upper branch third-order, meeting at (mu_B,T)=(765.51,86.54) MeV.

  5. Interplay between inhomogeneous chiral and crystalline color-superconducting phases in the two-flavor NJL model

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 4.0 of 10

In the two-flavor NJL model the wave vectors of the inhomogeneous chiral condensate and the single-plane-wave LOFF diquark condensate are never simultaneously nonzero, so the phases do not coexist.
