The dynamics of multi-kaon systems are of relevance for several areas of nuclear physics. However, even the simplest systems, two and three kaons, are hard to prepare and study experimentally. Here we show how to extract this information using first-principle lattice QCD results. We (1) extend the relativistic three-body quantization condition to the strangeness sector, predicting for the first time the excited level finite-volume spectrum of three kaon systems at maximal isospin, and (2) present a first lattice QCD calculation of the excited levels of this system in a finite box. We compare our predictions with the lattice results reported here and with previous ground state calculations and find very good agreement.

  1. Emergence of the $\pi(1300)$ Resonance from Lattice QCD

    hep-lat 2025-10 conditional novelty 8.0 of 10

Lattice QCD plus three-body scattering formalism yields a π(1300)-like pole at (1169±46)−i(62−62+168) MeV, consistent with experiment.

  2. Higher order quantization conditions for two-body scattering with spin

    hep-lat 2026-02 accept novelty 7.0 of 10

Higher-order finite-volume quantization conditions for spin-1/2 + spin-0 scattering are derived to J=11/2 and numerically checked to agree with independent box spectra to six significant figures.

  3. Coupled-channel approach to isotensor $\pi\pi\pi$ scattering from lattice QCD

    hep-lat 2026-01 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The I=2 three-pion spectrum from lattice QCD is described by a repulsive rho-pi S-wave interaction, consistent with a leading-order effective Lagrangian.

  4. Universal parameters of the $\Lambda(1380)$, the $\Lambda(1405)$ and their isospin partners from a combined analysis of Lattice QCD and experimental results

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A combined global fit of lattice QCD spectra and experimental Kbar N data within chiral unitary approaches gives pole positions for the Lambda(1380) and Lambda(1405) at physical and lattice quark masses, with systemat...

  5. Symmetrizing relativistic three-body partial wave amplitudes

    hep-ph 2025-07 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

The authors derive spectator-symmetric three-body partial wave amplitudes using new recoupling coefficients for arbitrary angular momentum and isospin, and demonstrate them with 3π Dalitz distributions.
