We consider the two-dimensional Schwinger model of a massless charged fermion coupled to an Abelian gauge field on a fixed de Sitter background. The theory admits an exact solution, first examined by Jayewardena, and can be analyzed efficiently using Euclidean methods. We calculate fully non-perturbative, gauge-invariant correlation functions of the electric field as well as the fermion and analyze these correlators in the late-time limit. We compare these results with the perturbative picture, for example by verifying that the one-loop contribution to the fermion two-point function, as predicted from the exact solution, matches the direct computation of the one-loop Feynman diagram. We demonstrate many features endemic of quantum field theory in de Sitter space, including the appearance of late-time logarithms, their resummation to de Sitter invariant expressions, and Boltzmann suppressed non-perturbative phenomena, with surprising late-time features.

  1. Ising the way into de Sitter

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 8.0 of 10

The two-dimensional thermal Ising model on de Sitter provides exact cosmological correlators that stay finite at late times, with perturbative secular logarithms resummed into principal-series oscillations.

  2. de Sitter Vacua & pUniverses

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

The p-Schwinger model on de Sitter space supports p distinct de Sitter-invariant vacua that are Hadamard, and coupling a multi-flavor version to gravity yields a semiclassical de Sitter saddle at large N_f.

  3. Confronting infrared divergences in de Sitter: loops, logarithms and the stochastic formalism

    hep-th 2025-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The authors show that loop corrections do not alter tree-level time dependence in de Sitter correlators, so secular growth is a regularization artifact, not a physical effect.

  4. On the spectra of holographic QFTs on constant curvature manifolds

    hep-th 2025-05 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

For holographic QFTs on constant-curvature manifolds, the spectrum is always discrete for negative curvature and always has a continuous component starting at m^2 = (9/4)α^{-2} for positive curvature.

  5. A discrete series gauge field at the late-time boundary of $dS_4$

    hep-th 2026-07 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

Both Δ=1 and Δ=2 late-time Maxwell operators on planar dS4 furnish the photon unitary discrete series of SO(4,1), which splits into opposite-helicity summands via self-dual field-strength sectors.

  6. Leading Logarithm Quantum Gravity II

    gr-qc 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The paper derives the leading-logarithm equations of motion for pure quantum gravity in accelerating spacetimes, whose solutions are claimed to re-sum all perturbative leading logarithms to all orders.
