We present the geometric foundations and derivations of equations of motion for symmetric teleparallel theories of gravity in the coincident gauge and covariant frameworks. We discuss the theoretical challenges introduced by the auxiliary fields responsible for the covariantisation procedure. We elucidate a tetradic structure interpretation behind this covariant formulation. Regarding the effect of covariantisation at the level of the equations of motion, we explicitly show that the only physical change, in case of setting an arbitrary energy-momentum tensor to the right hand side, resides in the requirement of the fulfillment of the covariant conservation laws. Also, we have explicitly introduced the fundamental covariantly-conserved teleparallel tetrad for the symmetric teleparallel frameworks.

Primary constraint analysis of Newer General Relativity recovers five tensor and three vector constraints and identifies a previously unreported scalar-sector degeneracy that produces one or two constraints depending ...

  2. Extrinsic geometry and Hamiltonian analysis of symmetric teleparallel gravity

    gr-qc 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Symmetric teleparallel gravity has the same number of degrees of freedom as general relativity, confirmed via its Hamiltonian formulation after deriving generalized extrinsic geometry relations.

    gr-qc 2026-07 conditional novelty 4.5

In f(Q)=Q+ξQ² gravity with realistic EOSs, negative ξ increases neutron-star maximum masses while positive ξ decreases them, with exterior spacetime remaining Schwarzschild.

  4. ACT-DR6 consistent inflation in generalised entropic cosmology and $f(Q)$ gravity

    gr-qc 2026-07 conditional novelty 4.0

Reconstruction produces explicit f(Q) and generalised-entropic inflation models (and scalar-coupled versions) whose slow-roll parameters match ACT-DR6 + Planck-BAO constraints on n_s and r.

  5. Late-Time Cosmology and Structure Formation in Quadratic $f(Q)$ Gravity

    physics.gen-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Quadratic f(Q) gravity adds an H^4 term to the Friedmann equation and introduces a time-dependent G_eff that suppresses linear growth and halo abundance, offering a modified-gravity route to easing the S8 tension.
